About this workshop

Succeeding in today’s competitive market increasingly hinges on the ability to offer customers not just a product but a whole ‘package’. This workshop is about giving you the ability and confidence to sell not just a plant but an entire room of plants.

A well designed garden partners harmonious plant combinations with appropriate plant selection and placement. Addressing these elements in a practical and aesthetic way that enhances each garden’s unique personality is the key to good garden design.

This workshop explains the basic elements of garden design. Participants will be given an understanding of the key principles of garden design and different garden themes and styles. They will also learn how to develop a client brief, perform basic site analysis and design a planting plan.

Designed to support retail garden centres in giving advice to customers, this workshop is ideal for garden centre operators and staff seeking to expand their knowledge and enter the exciting world of garden design.

At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

Target audience
