The information contained in the fact sheets was developed by Helen Sims.
Helen is a keen gardener who has lived in Broken Hill for over fourteen years. She enjoys the challenge of living and gardening in this remote and arid part of Australia. She has been a teacher at the Western Institute of TAFE for the past 11 years and has an advanced certificate and a diploma in Horticulture. She also works with local community and service groups to develop garden programmes and is the regular water wise columnist for the local 'Barrier Daily Truth' newspaper.
