Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Nursery Road in the beautiful Macedon Ranges
Nursery Road Garden Supplies, one of Victoria’s only native nurseries with land owned by an Indigenous Cooperative, will host a series of free educational public lectures focused on native gardens over the four seasons.
The day kicks off with a celebration of the Winter Solstice and with Garden Gurus’ presenter leading Australian landscape architect Phillip Johnson giving his insight on sustainable landscaping using natives. The event will have a distinctively local and Indigenous flavour provided by regional producers. Native Oz Cuisine will provide uniquely Australian dishes, such as a strawberry gumleaf pannacotta, created with native produce. For coffee lovers, the Bendigo-based Espresso Event will be on hand with Castlemaine-roasted coffee and gardening-focused children’s activities will be on offer.
This a day for the whole family and the perfect excuse for a trip to the beautiful Macedon Ranges.
Where: Nursery Road Garden Supplies, 42 Nursery Road, Macedon Ranges, Victoria
When: Saturday 19 June, 2010
