The Nursery & Garden Industry is proud to bring to you this year's Northern Territory Tropical Garden Spectacular - ‘Our Environment, Your Backyard'.
The event is all about creating inspirational gardening ideas to take home to your garden, whether it's a sprawling backyard, leafy courtyard or cosy balcony.
We want everyone to embrace the outdoor lifestyle we enjoy here in the Territory and explore the wonderful variety of opportunities there are with ‘Life in a garden '.
The Tropical Garden Spectacular is the perfect place to relax, be inspired and enjoy the festive garden ambience of the Northern Territory. We enthusiastically welcome the participation of the art community and are looking forward to again showcasing both seasoned and emerging talents from the local region.
The Tropical Garden Spectacular showcases the very best of the Territory's nursery and garden industry. Come and see the range of products and services we bring to the market place; we encourage everyone to take advantage of the wealth of information and expertise on offer.

The feature of 2010 will be "Our Environment, Your Backyard" encouraging consumers to Think Globally, Act Locally and discover what they can do to support the environment from within their own backyard. The increase in concern for the environment and the affect global warming is having on our eco-systems and atmosphere, shows there is no better time to understand and demonstrate what simple things we can do in our backyards to contribute to the ‘global garden' we live in and help drive positive environmental and healthy lifestyle messages about gardens to the community.
Beautifully constructed to demonstrate the diversity of themes and styles that can be achieved in any type of garden, our feature display gardens will stir the senses and awaken your imagination. And to help you get started, we'll be providing expert advice on a wide range of gardening topics as well as a comprehensive program of interactive workshops and demonstrations that will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to create your own dream garden.
Tropical Garden Spectacular is an event for the whole family, including the kids. ‘Gardeners of the future' will be encouraged to get dirty in the garden with their peers, friends and family. School projects inspired by Nursery & Garden Industry Australia's ‘KidsGrow' Schools program will be facilitated through our Australian Garden Centre Accreditation Scheme (AGCAS) Garden Centres. This will be a wonderful opportunity to involve children in a variety of fun and valuable activities, from growing plants to decorating pots or creating a sculpture to feature in the garden.
