As the peak body for the Australian nursery & garden industry, NGIA works with Horticulture Australia Ltd (HAL) to determine industry marketing initiatives.
Newspoll Research
Newspoll research is commissioned each July to provide consumer information for the Spring Media Launch and to give retailers, growers, and allied traders an insight into the needs and desires of the Australian public in relations to gardens and gardening.
The 2009 Newspoll results showed that while the landscape of Australian backyards is changing, Australians' passion for spending time outdoors isn't. An astounding 86% of Australians believe that the health, wellbeing and relaxation benefit their garden provides is the top reason they spend time in their backyards.
Newspoll research is funded by the nursery levy.
