How Flora for Fauna can work for you

What's in it for you?

Flora for Fauna has a number of different elements that support the industry in maximising their sales. They are:

  • Eyecatching and colourful promotional material - with birds, butterflies and frogs interacting with plants.

  • A special colourful brochure called 'Bring your garden alive!'
    'Bring your garden alive!' (PDF, file size 10.6 Kb)
  • A website www.floraforfauna.com.au where potential customers can:

    • Type in their suburb and easily identify the Flora for Fauna plants in their area and the animals they attract.

    • Get a list of their local garden centre by typing in the suburb and state in which they live.

    • Get details on how to create a Flora for Fauna garden; the Fauna to attract; which plants to use

    • Download copies of fact sheets that easily explain how to make 'Flora for Fauna' in their own backyard.


As a Garden Centre what can you do?
  • Order your set (PDF, file size 184 kb) of Flora for Fauna promotional materials. Once you do this your garden centre will be automatically listed on the website.

  • Using the plant list have a look at what Flora for Fauna plants you currently stock, are there any others plants you could sell?

  • Label your Flora for Fauna plants with labels or stickers. See your promotional material order form or order direct from Norwood Industries 1800 337 465.

  • Create your Flora for Fauna display using the 'Display Tips' (PDF, file size 161 kb) sheet as a guide. It's important to only use these labels on approved Flora for Fauna plants. Click here (PDF, file size 65 kb) for details.

  • Have a look at the Flora for Fauna website www.floraforfauna.com.au and the information sheets that provide all sorts of garden ideas related to Flora for Fauna.

  • Use the 'We proudly support Flora for Fauna' (PDF, file size 53 kb) logo on your letterhead and newsletters.

  • Print off the original 'Marketing Focus' (PDF, file size 438 kb) giving you ideas on Flora for Fauna.

  • Send out a media release. All you have to do is download them, add your garden centre name and details, and send one to your local paper, radio station, TV newsroom and/or website. Select from:

  • Display and sell other items like frogs, ponds, bird baths, bird boxes etc.

As a Grower/Wholesaler what can you do?

  • If you have plants that are not listed on the plant list - fill in an application form (PDF, file size 32 kb) and have them added to the Flora for Fauna plant list.

    • Tag lock label - 65mm wide

    • Sticker - 30mm wide

  • Read the Flora for Fauna 'Nursery Paper'. http://www.ngia.com.au/np/2001No11/01-11.html might be changed

  • Use the 'We Proudly Support Flora for Fauna' (PDF, file size 53 kb) logo on your letterhead and newsletters.

  • Encourage your customers, the garden centres, to participate in Flora for Fauna, give them a Promotional Material (PDF, file size 184 kb) Order Form or better still buy some materials on their behalf.

  • Media releases
    Get publicity - use a media release We have produced four different media releases for you to use. All you have to do is download them, add your garden centre name and details, and send one to your local paper, radio station, TV newsroom and/or website. Select from:
